Point and Shoot competition #123 - Nostalgia

A big part of photography is remembering the past through imagery. Photos are like time capsules for future generation to get to know who we are. We in the Northern Hemisphere are going into Summer and there will be car show, BBQs, family reunions, etc. In the Southern Hemisphere you are heading into Winter. I want to get to know you all and what Nostalgia means to you at this time of the year. topic - Nostalgia

Rules:

1. Always have fun!

2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1" (some exceptions below).
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras (some exceptions below).
No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above):
Mobile phones, old and new, iPods, tablets, toy cameras.
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital cameras (Fuji X100 and GR OK).
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close April 30, 2018 midnight EDT.

4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.

5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.

7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

9. Entries will be judged on artistic merit and imaginative interpretation of the theme.

Looking forward to some great photographs! Have fun!

Nice subject for the month!

You still have a paragraph in the description from last month you should edit out.

And you forgot to upgrade the number. The last one was #123, this one should be #124 I think. I just love nostalgia.

My country is wellknown for its windmills and just last weekend (May 12 and 13) was National Windmill Day when about 900 windmills opened their doors to the public. This one is an oldie I came across when travelling through my country some time ago. I lost the original photo when my external harddrive crashed and somehow the exif got lost on this one, but I know I took it with my Sony Cybershot.

On Ascension Day it's a tradition in my area of the woods for the draft horse clubs to make a tour with their horses and old wagons/coaches all dressed up.

Nostalgy can be found in this little village Orvelte which is kept like it was centuries ago. It's a museum village very popular with the tourists. I visit it every year when I have to inspect the big village sheep herd. I couldn't resist to add a few words.

A wonderful series, Titia and Alayos!
Right on theme.
The colours have vintage look as well, Titia.

B&W is in itself kind of nostalgic to me
