Some ornamental yet functional furniture at one of our local lighthouses (Point No Point, WA). I had tried to post this last nite from my iPad, for some reason the pics never appeared.

Samsung Galaxy S9, straight from the phone. Could probably use a bit of tweaking for the harsh light, but not bad for a phone, IMO...

Photo 1: In the Netherlands houses that can't be sold for a while are temporary rented out to students so the house will not get squat in illegally. My daughter lived in a few of them in her student days. Rent was very cheap, but you were not allowed to paint or do anything else to the house.
Photo 2: Once I had to liquidate my aunt's estate, this was the guestroom.
Photo 3: My daughter moving out of one of those temporary houses and got stuck between the furniture.

ALL STREET JOU by k kwb, on Flickr

These are stools placed upside down on the bar tables at the airport where we were stranded.

Due to bad weather, our evening flight to New York landed on Detroit rather late where we stayed up all night as each and every announcement they made got us overly excited or disappointed (mostly disappointed). The flight team is going home we appreciate your patience, we send a replacement team as soon as possible, OK they took off and will be here in about two hours, they're coming but we cannot tell exactly when, they arrived and our on-site staffs are checking the airplane, we're still checking the weather around JFK, that kind of stuff.

That was about a year ago, but today I had this déjà vu feeling while browsing certain internet forum that shall remain unnamed. People at the airport weren't totally unlike people getting worked up by announcements or lack thereof of certain camera manufacturer . But we at the airport were actually absolutely doomed as the bar was already closed .

Maybe I can explain it this way: the main subject in this competition should be furniture in whatever form. In your photos (beautiful as they are) the main subject is your dog. As I see it, correct me if I'm wrong. Very lovely puppy by the way.

Hello everyone!

Thanks for all the great submissions. My first choice is Cipher for the minimalistic "Bench with Gloves". I really like the muted coloring and how the texture of the bench plays off the wall.

A close second was Titia for getting stuck between furniture - we've all been there :-)

Great job everyone!!!!

Thanks Mtn Biker!

I really enjoy using my P&S cameras: the Q7, Q S1, and a Samsung EX-1. Small sensors get a bad rap from many but they have a definite place in my collection of cameras, a lot of the shots in this competition would have been hard to do with a bigger camera.

I'll be posting the new contest later today.

Congratulations cipher. Excellent image. Looking forward to your contest. Agree that there is a place for small sensors in photography. These contests help prove it.

Thanks MtnBiker for running a great contest.

Thanks,
barondla

Thanks to Mnt Biker for this contest.

Cipher,

Shouldn't you create a new thread for contest #128?
