Good reviews in general. It must have been a design challenge to fit a stabilized apsc sensor into a camera the size of pack of cigarettes. It's the kind of camera that fits in a pocket and can capture image of the quality of a Pentax KP.

The GR III looks like a winner for Ricoh, the quintessential high-IQ snapshooter, particularly if you take one or two spare batteries with you.

There is some (unintended) irony in Chris commending the GR III as the iteration of the series where Ricoh has finally built in the latest Pentax technology, when DPReview tends to have little love for that tech when it comes along with a Pentax nameplate. Remember that silly drunken video where they mentioned the K-1 II second-worst camera of the year? But maybe that's just me.

Guess they couldn't trash the GR III because it's receiving solid reviews on a growing number of influential channels. And, of course, it's mirrorless, which ticks another box on their agenda. Otherwise, a solid review that may help win the GR system some new followers.

BTW, kinda liked the second review in its own right. Pretty thorough for a review of its kind, and with the right focus on the user experience and the photographic results. The unpretentious and to-the-point presenters make it easy to watch.

I've been using mine for over three weeks now, and the lens and sensor are capable of truly DSLR quality. I'm still exploring and learning the user interface, which is both slightly familiar and slightly foreign for a Pentaxian, but there's no doubt it's a really cool little camera.

I kind of have to smile when I watch these reviews.

First, living in Calgary, I enjoy watching the areas of the city.

Second, we now have two different YouTube camera review channels, both associated with the Camera Store. I wonder if Jordan and Evelyn discuss their reviews over dinner at night?

I have to stop watching GRIII reviews... I really don't need any more cameras... :-)

It's never quite as much of a conspiracy as people on this forum often insinuate. We enjoyed shooting with this camera, the opinion of other reviewers had nothing to do with it, it just happens to be a well deigned camera capable of excellent results. The other DPReview writers are also huge fans of the GR line:

Also, I need to figure out how to change this username...
