Point and Shoot competition #137 - That summer vacation feeling

Well, at least in the northern hemisphere, it's summer again

Fond memories of 2 months of school vacation are definitely associated with this season for me.
Granted, the time of 2 month vacations is very far away in the past but a 2 or 3 week vacation is still in the cards.

So, let's see what spells out "Summer" or "Vacation" for you.
A very broad theme, I think and since vacation is kind of the perfect time for 'snaps', there should be no shortage of possible entries.
Especially since this theme is seasonal, no restrictions on what favorite vacation you are sharing here.

I would let this contest run for the next two months so there's ample time and being away on holiday can't be an excuse for not participating

Rules:

1. Always have fun!

2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1"
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras (some exceptions below).
No (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted:
Mobile phones, tablets, small sensor toy cameras.
Pentax Q, Nikon 1, any 110 film.

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close August 31st, 2019 midnight CDT.

4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.

5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.

7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

I took this shot a couple of weeks ago, on what could definitely be a theme for vacations. Mine, anyway... Snapshots of scenery and cool skyscapes, taken one-handed through the windshield while rolling down the highways. In this case, crossing Wyoming on the way home from picking up the new puppy in Iowa. Cruise control set at 85 mph, just enjoying the scenery.

This does have a great vacation and of course, an "on the road" feel, Jim!
An empty freeway would definitely signal "vacation" to me.

In the day-to-day world here, such a stretch of freeway is unimaginable.
An unescapable consequence would be that 85 mph would generate a lot of speeding tickets

(not cheap)
Maximum speed on the freeway is about 75 mph over here.
In Germany, there's no limit - except when there's a local limit, or traffic jam, or roadworks, ... So, even there the 'no limit' is pretty much a thing of the past.

The state of Montana used to have the speed limit of “reasonable and prudent”. Man, that was fun! Now it’s 80, still ok but not quite as much fun.

A favorite summer place. For overhead of swimmers, I held a 15 ft pole off the catwalk with the Pentax Q and 03 lens attached. Camera was shooting on interval.
