Point and Shoot Competition #138 - Anything goes

Been over a year since the last anything goes competition. So I’m opening this one up to anything.

Rules:

1. Always have fun!

2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1"
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras (some exceptions below).
No (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted:
Mobile phones, tablets, small sensor toy cameras.
Pentax Q, Nikon 1, any 110 film.

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close September 30, 2019 midnight CDT.

4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.

5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.

7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

Have fun!

To kick it off, here is a selfie I took with my iPhone today. I’m sure you can post something better than that!

Hey, Mr Bassie - could you not have at least taken the trouble to rotate the PIc? I got a kink in my neck looking at this!!

That said, it shows the amazing capabilities of mobile phone cameras.

Two days and no contributions?

Well, here goes nothing... Cross-posted from the "Confessions of a Toy Camera Shooter" thread:
This afternoon, I drove to South Shields, a coastal town roughly 18 miles from my home by road (a little closer as the crow flies). Here, at the mouth of the River Tyne, lies historic Herd Groyne Lighthouse (built 1882) - a subject I've photographed several times over the last few years, and one of my local favourites.

The light was beautiful though, sadly, the skies had few clouds to add interest for photographic purposes, and there was a chill wind blowing! Still, I grabbed the below shot in the early evening sun, looking up from the rocks on the beach below. Once again, I used the Canon A1200 with CHDK to capture in raw, and processed in RawTherapee

Additional info:

Sensor is 12MP 1/2.3" CCD. Settings were (P)rogram mode with -1/3 stop EV compensation, ISO 75, 1/1600s, 7.4mm (41mm equivalent) at f/3.3...

The Manor House at Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, Georgia.

Taken with an IR (720nm) converted Panasonic DMC-ZS25 (1/2.33") f6.3 @ 1/60.

It is special to me because I know it was taken in the high-nineties Georgia heat, one handed, with my daughter on my shoulders.

Processed to look ethereal as if emanating from the fog...

For my second submission: A shot of a Sea Jelly at the Georgia Aquarium.

Panasonic DMC-LX7 (1/1.7") F2.2 @ 1/60 ISO 800.

Processed with DxO PhotoLab 2.

I really like the LX7 (with external viewfinder attachment). It is very good in low-light (1.4-2.3) and has a fairly useful range: 24-90mm equivalent.

It is a bit long in the tooth and I'm still looking for a suitable replacement...

Kids looking at a butterfly back in 2008.

Casio Exilim EX-S600, which was ridiculously thin and tiny camera with a 6MP 1/2.5" sensor and anti shake. I used it for a long time until eventually the battery door broke.

That is a very nice shot: obvious the kids are enthralled by that wonderfully coloured butterfly!
