STREET NOIR

is the theme this month.

Entries can be any picture taken on the street, day, or night but as the title said -

---

I hope, this thread would have some great photos here
--

Great theme panonski! I’ll start things off with this shot taken in Reykjavík, Iceland, with a Q-7 and the 01 lens:

Great theme and first entry! Just to confirm before I enter a photo, the ricoh GR iii isn't allowed because of sensor size, but the GR digital is allowed since it has a 1/1.7" sensor?

I can alow and GR III, because the final product - never depends on file size, or MP cound, or something else.

Since this is also Compact, I can say, the GR III, are also welcome.

I believe you can,

It's not quite a compact camera, but sensor size, and lens, and weight matches the contest rules, so I would alow that.

Thanks panonski for clarifying about sensor size. I decided to use the Ricoh GRD with it's tiny sensor, I just got one last week out of curiosity to compare with the 14 (15?) years newer GR III. It's fun, and the grain and limitations have resulted in some shots that I like

Intriguing theme and there are already great entries. Should be a very interesting contest.

Thanks,

I couldn't agree more, both on the entries and the interesting theme

I'll try especially for the "spooky"

Panasonic FX500, 17.6mm (104mm equivalent), 1/8 at f/5.6, ISO400

Panasonic FX500, 7.3mm (43mm equivalent), 1/30 at f/4.1, ISO100

Extensive processing on the next one but I feel it's in line with the theme.
Panasonic FX500, 4.4mm (26mm equivallent), 1/60 at f/2.8, ISO100

Good morning, all!

I took this photo on my Fujifilm Finepix z20fD point and shoot camera.

To comply with the rules of the competition I had to reduce the file size. I also chose to remove the exif data.

I never digitally process my files. But, in this case, I used the Shotwell viewer tool in Linux to do some crude experimental adjustments of saturation, exposure, tint, etc.

The subject was scary enough in broad daylight!

Nothing ever happens in my neck of the woods at night. However on Feb 2, 2014 some old guy with too much beer in his body drove his car into the ditch in front of our house. Luckily the man was not hurt.
