GRIII & Pentax IR remote control

So actually haven't tried using the little remote control with the GRIII. Tried looking for the settings, but I can't seem to find where to enable it.
On the K-1 it's in the shutter/remote settings, allowing to use it as a shutter release, with a delay, with HDR. Does anyone know if GRIII has similar functionality?
Or it only works with the phone app?
