A pickle fork. That must be a handful at full throttle, but well worth changing your shorts for after that ride.
Indeed... Those are the kind of boats you see running in and out of the South Florida Rich People's River inlets... I may or may not spend too much time on yooToob watching big expensive gas-guzzlers full of the Beautiful People ;-) As much fun as a full throttle run would be, it would very likely (literally) kill me (a cranky cervical spinal fusion, I'd snap my head off)

Be a nice way to end, though. <grin>

Remnants of snow on the rear quarter panel of my 595 Competition. Pentax MX-1.
I have always had a soft spot for Fiats, having owned a few from the '60’s and '70's.

Never heard of the term 'pickle fork' for these twin-hulled cigarette boats. I remember fishing with a friend in a Boston Whaler when one of these whizzed by, then when the wake hit us we were holding onto both sides hoping we didn't capsize. This was in the channel at San Diego, in comparison, the Kitty Hawk had a gentle bubbly little wake when it went past, (1982-3, thereabouts). Nice catch of the boat!

Big paddle wheeler on Columbia River. Fuji XQ-1, ISO 200 F/2.8 and 1/1300. I think this is an in-camera B/W, though I used lightroom to downsample. If I remember correctly, light was harsh and I went B/W to mitigate that the sky was blown.

Wonderful entries, all!

I'll add mine shortly. I'll be sticking to boats and keeping colour instead of my more comfortable b&w styles.

Oh hi, folks down the river!

In pre-COVID days the ship used to slowly go up the river from Portland to Spokane and then back, no wonder you recognize.

I'm downriver alright. Go about a mile west of Astoria, hang a left, follow the coastline down to Newport, hang another left into Yaquina Bay, follow the river up to Toledo and you have arrived. 😅

Huh. First step is the same, but then hang a right. Go up to the Canuckian border, hang another right, go to Admiralty Inlet, hang another right, weave your way through the islands (dodging the big freighters on the way) until you get to our little harbor - again, on your right.

In my case, follow the river up a bit more than 300 miles and you'll be there.

Thanks, yes that was in Amsterdam, a lovely city, canals everywhere and lots of boats.
