Legally speaking, the VS20 has a more powerful zoom than a $1,000 PENTAX!

Over 1,000 sold! LOL! This is pretty funny. Worth a view if you have a couple of minutes to kill.

The VS20 is a decent little camera and in a pinch might fill in for a GRIII , but so would my FED 2 in a similar pinch. Given what I paid for my FED 2, I would pass on the VS20.

Steve
sounds Russian , from federatsiya ?

No , ( just googled it )

The name of FED comes from the initial of Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky.

The FED 2 was a 35 mm rangefinder camera introduced in 1955 by FED

...and with friends for scale...

Very pocket-able, especially when paired with the Jupiter-12 35/2.8

Nice, but the FED 3 has slow shutter speeds

But I like Retinas just a little more...

The RZ18 had a better lens, I had one and it was really good for a point and shoot.
This one is only decent in the middle of the range.

On the flip side, perhaps some greater brand recognition, and that's not a bad thing.
