Point and Shoot Contest #14 Favorite Things

Point And Shoot Contest #14 "Favorite Things"
Welcome to Point And Shoot Contest #14 - "Favorite Things"

Shamelessly stole this idea from the current dpreview contest running now. I like it so much though that I thought I would adopt it for the current p&s contest. We all have our favorites right? Especially this time of year we should be surrounded by some of our favorite things. Let us see your favorite things and some creative representations of them for the P&S contest #14.
I like the tradition of having this be a long running contest. Therefore the entries will be accepted until January 6th 2009 7pm pacific standard time. Come on, capture your favorite things with your p&s and enter them here!

Rules of entry

1. ANY camera other than a slr/dslr is eligble.
2. Entries will end on January 6th, 2009, 7pm pacific standard time.
3. Maximum image dimensions are 800 X 800 pixels.
4. List camera BRAND, MODEL, and FORUM NAME with entry for all to see.
5. Post any subject.
6. Maximum of 2 photos per photographer.
7. Post processing is fine.
8. Winner will set up and judge next contest.
9. Remember to have FUN!

Thank you all for participating!

Gee two whole days and not a bite for the new competition. Help me out here guys. I'm a bit under the weather lately so cheer me up with some images of your favorite things. It could even be a favorite photo of something that isn't necessarily your favorite thing.

Did you forget to update the deadline? The original says Nov 30th, I am assuming that is actually suppose to be Dec 30th? Now, too bad I don't own a Pentax P&S :-/ With the competition thus far, I may win :-D

Thank you Jeremy. I had the correct date/time in the body of my text, but I missed changing it in the copy and paste portion. I've edited to be correct now.
And you don't have to use a Pentax p&s camera to enter. Look again at the rules. Just let us know what p&s camera you've used when you post your entry. Many of us (I might even say most of us) who have entered these p&s challenges don't own a Pentax p&s.

So, come on Jeremy. Show us what you've got.

Well I might as well put two of my old photos on here.

The first is of the Blue Angels shot using a Canon S3 IS.

The second is taken using a Canon A80 at an R/C Boat gathering.

No post processing done on either of them.

YUM. Chocolate always works for me. I haven't had my customary box this year. Now I need to try and get that fixed! ;-)

Still time!

There is still time to enter your p&s submission for this contest. I don't know about the rest of you, but I picked up my p&s for some quick easy holiday shots. Did you?

Christmas Bears

These stuffed bears are a favorite of my daughter (now 22) and occupy a place of honor on the table in the family room during the holidays.

Canon Powershot G2, with a little massaging of the white balance and +0.5 on the exposure.
