A really special kind of bridge in #2 and an especially strong b&w in #1
#2 is really 2 small bridges where a small stream fords a minor road. Here's the google maps link for a different view of the scene Google Maps

Thanks for all your beautiful photos. I've scrolled up and down many times and each time I got stuck at two photos:
Barondla's double rainbow and the black and white bridge of Vendee.I really like the contrast of the clean bridge lines against the fragile branches of the trees and the lighting is just beautiful. Since I am a big fan of black and white, I choose the photo of Vendee as the winner of this competition.

Congratulations Vendee and thanks all for your participation.

Thanks for that Titia and to the other entrants. Its a shame there were so few of them. I'll get back soon with the subject for the next competition. I did have something in mind but I need to reconsider if my choice of subject will encourage lots of entries or deter them.

Congratulations Vendee on the win. The lighting is really nice and difficult to capture in the hard B&W mode. Looking forward to your contest.

Thanks to Titia for running a fine contest and everyone else for participating.

Thanks,
barondla

John, I can see from the Flickr exif that your photo was a scan. I was just wondering what film it was shot on and what camera. Its a really lovely colour shot.
