How nice to be treated to a couple of fine entries when I'm back from a business trip!

So I decided to buy a batch of Fuji P&S disposables with the sole intention of ripping them apart to get the roll of film to use with my other cameras. They were loaded with 400 iso film and I thought it would be ok if i just gave it a couple of stops more, so this was shot at iso 100. What I didn't account for was the fact that the cameras were stored in this warehouse under the sun where the temperature was at least 40 degrees when I bought them, so the film was basically fried. and here are the results. In case you cant tell, that's out cat at the lower left corner.
Rollei 35 - Fuji C400 Expired
Wow, shyrsio, were you OK after this? Looks as if your little boy had a sinister smile and his sidekick the cat was ready to pounce on you...
Sorry that your plan to repurpose the disposable didn't work as intended, but you got an interesting effect that fits this month's theme perfectly! Thanks for submission!

That was the view from our hotel room’s porch. Six steps down, cross about 30 feet of grass, and down two more steps to reach the sand. Then anywhere from 50 ft to around 1000 ft to the water’s edge depending on the tides. It’s our happy place! Many great sunsets provided by Mother Nature….

Seriously pretty color! No wonder you wanted to print this for your wall.

Thanks. I did have to edit this with dxo to straighten the buildings due to the angle I shot this at to reduce foreground clutter the buildings were leaning towards the center too much for my taste. A quick trip through dxo cleaned that up. This is around 44-45mm equivalent focal length btw.

Here's one made with an Olympus TG-6 processed in DxO PhotoLab 6 Elite and DxO Filmpack. ISO 100, 4.5mm (25mm equivalent) f/8 1/160s
Pentax's WR for bodies and lenses is great, but in this case, getting to this spot ended up falling over numerous times in the river, and in some cases actually swimming, so in this case it was worth sacrificing the capabilities of a larger sensor for something rated to survive prolonged immersion.
Even with negative exposure compensation in camera, the highlights are still blown, so it looks better in B&W.

Here's another one from the TG-6 on the same day, but looking in the opposite direction, further down river. ISO 100 f/2.8 4.5mm (25mm equivalent) 1/320s

Of all the sub-forums in Pentax Forums, the small-sensor one is the most welcoming, almost every one who posts there is already "breaking the rules" so nearly anything goes, as long as the image starts with a small-sensor digital or compact film camera.

Hi Kiwizinho, thanks for entering! Looks like a great place to relax, and your choice of tough waterproof compact makes a perfect sense.

It seems that Bart couldn't see your pictures when he checked. As of now, I can only see one picture, the one where big rocks are to the left and the sky is at the top right corner. Could you repost the other one?

Neither shows for me. I see this from time to time but I don’t quite know what the problem is. It doesn’t happen with Flickr links.

Ah, OK, that made me investigate a bit more.

Kiwizinho's picture (the one that I can see) is directly linked to a file on Google Photos or Google Drive. And that's the problem. Google doesn't support embedding the image in other places, that much I know (and not much more). There might be workarounds, though.

But how come that I can see at least one of the pictures while you cannot? The difference is most likely that I'm logged into my Google account in another tab on the same browser. Indeed, I've just launched another browser w/o logging in to google to confirm that neither of his pictures are displayed.

If there's an expert Google user who knows how to directly embed pictures on Google Photos or Drive, please chime in.

I've updated the links. Hopefully the images show now. Google does make it hard to share images, but I have found a method that generally works, but I was in a hurry, and it's a bit fiddly, so skipped a step. I have paid storage with Google, so it's not as though I'm getting a free ride, so it's annoying how difficult they make it to share images.

The way I've found that generally works to share Google photos is to view the individual photo, click on share -> Create Link, then click on the link, then click on the photo so it gets a black background, then right click and 'copy image address' in Chrome, and then paste that into image link fields. I missed the Create Link step because the album it was in was supposedly already shared for public access, but that doesn't seem to work reliably. You seem to have to share the individual photo.

Great investigative work; and I like the fish also.
