P&S PHOTO CONTEST #18 - "Face your Fear"

I am honored to post the next contest!

Welcome to P&S contest #18. Standard rules for this contest are as follows:

Rules of entry

1. ANY camera other than a slr/dslr is eligble.
2. Entries will end on May 1st midnight Eastern US time.
3. Maximum image dimensions are 800 X 800 pixels.
4. List camera BRAND, MODEL, and TITLE (if applicable) with entry for all to see.
5. The theme is "Face your Fear"
6. Maximum of 3 photos per photographer.
7. Post processing is fine.
8. Winner will set up and judge next contest.
9. Remember to have FUN!

After looking over all the entries for #17, I have decided to theme this contest "Face your Fear". Mike.P's photo in contest 17 made me think of this, because mine happens to be flying... I absolutely love to travel, but flying really scares me! I do it all the time, and I still manage to go places and get on a plane (thankfully).

SO get out there, face YOUR fear (with a camera)!

Sneaky snakey.

OK, I'm not actually particularly afraid of snakes, though what rat lady shouldn't be? I suppose my own fears are more intangible, but, I thought I'd get things started.

I was ....cautious around this fellow this morning till I identified him as a harmless, if big, black racer, though.

Lumix FZ-7, at long zoom and I still cropped in.

I saw the light

A bit on the late side, I guess.
This was a tough one but I believe I found some candidates.

Oh, and before you start sending me suggestions about therapists, I'm not doing that bad . After all, facing your fears is overcoming them

Hi all. I have to say, though I do love the work and creativity of the entries, I'm a big disappointed with the turnout for the contest Oh well, maybe the topic was a bit tricky... but... I am happy to announce the winner of P&S contest #18 --> BART'S "No Way Out". I love that it's a very literal feeling/topic with a very figurative image to capture this. Very creative, wonderful approach and interpretation of the subject!! Congrats Bart Looking forward to contest #19!

Thanks

Thank you, RebeccaMich.

Me winning this contest kind of reminds me of an old story.
In a (very) small town, there was a class with only two - very - competitive students. After graduation, the student who was second, stepped up to the other student and said: Well, I'm the second of the class and you are the last but one!

Thanks for the compliment, barondla.
I liked your photo too. I even thought about something simular but that was one fear I couldn't face .
