How is the X70 doing?

There is lots of chat about Pentax making an EVIL camera but I would have thought that would be dependant on how the X70 bridge camera were doing in the market place.

As far as I know, and I am sure I will be corrected, this is the first Pentax digital bridge and I would have thought it would be the basis for any further EVIL development if it were successfull in a new market..

Any comments?

The x70 is a piece. It was discontinued last year and is overall not an impressive camera at all. The battery life sucks, it feels cheap, and has horrible image quality. It has hardly any of the features of a true DSLR. The only thing it packs is zoom, but at the sacrifice of quality.
