Wide angle, ovf, image orientation and CHEAP

Hi. I need a camera for work. I record interior and exterior photos of buildings to post on a website. Size never exceeds 1024 pixels on the long side. The things that would make my job easier are as listed in the title: wide angle, an orientation sensor and an optical viewfinder. Easy access to Ev compensation would help as well. High ISO capability and image stabilization are not important because I use the flash or stabilize the camera for low light shooting.

Now the kicker. I can't spend more than $125.00, because that's all my company will reimburse me. I suspect I'll have to give up on the 24-35mm range, but if you know of a camera that connects all the dots, I'm all ears.

Pentax is a little late to the party with compact wide angles - 35-40mm equivalents used to be the norm up until a few years ago. Panasonic was probably the first brand that started going down to 28mm equiv for most of their cams.

I just did a quick search and found the olympus fe-5020 at buydig.com for $129.00. It is 24mm equivalent, but not clear whether it has an orientation sensor (dpreview says no, photography blog says only rotation - yes - could be on playback it is rotatable, which doesnt constitute an orientation sensor).

if you go to the dpreview website, in their camera database section click on feature search - you can enter the widest angle preferences (24,28,35) along with orientation sensor - yes - to give you a bunch of results. For cost, you are going to have to seek out a used/refurb or old stock discontinued camera to hit that price, but you should be able to come close!

Thanks, I'll try the DPR thingie. I just got permission to go to $200 but I'll probably have to let go of one of my preferences.

Yes, the Oly FE-5020 is a 24mm equivalent. I am not sure if this camera comes with an orientation sensor.

To finish the story, I found a FujiFilm F1500 superzoom for a really good price. I decided to keep it for my wife and use my Canon A720 IS for work. The A720 is a camera I like a lot, and taking my boring work photographs is more interesting now than it's been before.
