sd card question

I have a pentax optio 555 and was wondering if I could use higher than a 512 mb sd (e.g., 1 gb or 2 gb) memory card?

T'was their first post (a double one at that) - a little weak I have to admit.

TO THE OP if you're out there! If the camera does not take SDHC cards, it will still be able to take standard SD cards upto 2gb, that was the limit for standard SD cards prior to the SDHC standard.

*bites tongue*

Edit: OK I can't resist. since this camera is from 2003, have you been introduced to google? Anyway, since the imaging resource review of this camera I just skimmed RECOMMENDED a 64MB SD card, maybe I am wrong about the capacity. OP, time to upgrade! Oh, and welcome to the forum!

2nd Edit: OMG that camera had panorama assist and a 3D feature that combined 2 images, how bad ass is that! Why doesn't my K20d or K-x have 3d??? This is clearly a backwards step IMHO.

Real final edit: quoted from Steve's digicams: "After exploring some of the unique features this camera has to offer I have come to the conclusion that it's a good buy at under $550 dollars (as of Oct. 2003)" How far we have come.

Hey welcome to the forums!! I moved your thread to the Compact Cameras section as you'll probably get more responses from other Optio owners this way. Please do go back to the Welcomes and Introductions section and introduce yourself because we'd all like to "meet" you!
