Pentax P&S are actually good in good/bright light but once the available light becomes low, the noise usually sets in..but hey, this is P&S, so I have no qualms with it with my W80. Am still happy with it.
If I didn't get the W80, i might have gotten the W90 as the LED lights must come in handy for those macro shots.

I concur with GerryL on the good/bright light part. Pentax P&S is good or on par with most well-known brand when taking picture in the bright light like, morning/afternoon sunlight. But when it comes to dimly lit area, or night time photography, the P&S "sucks".
Well, I have no regret, just accept the Pentax P&S camera's limitation.

See I like the idea of playing with it. Not Carrying the k20d to a theme park Lugging that monster aroung. And The ability to take it in water = BONUS.. If your buying a P&S then you know its not a DSLR. and Your stuck with average shots. However 20 years ago I had the Canon Aqua Snappy. WOW. That little 35mm was incredilble. Thanks to my wife for losing it on a business trip to ALASkA. I just want a fun durable camera I can beat up the w90 is looking real good in that department. Now I have to decide BLACK OR GREEN?

I have..

I have got the w90 heres a few shots i have took with it:

Index of /w90

I took the photos of the ring i bought my gf with macro mode, with 3 leds on

The one with a picture of my gf in twice was using the image stitching mode.

the horse was at 5x optical zoom

Any other photos i think were in auto shot.

Sorry no underwater shots atm.

I enjoy using this camera, its great.

1 thing i'd like to see in ths camera's firmware is picbridge, i don't know if pentax can update this or w/e.

Just notice this thread so I will pop in and ask the question.

The W90 has no SR. I would imagine taking low light pictures at night would be quite difficult to get sharp pictures?

Optio W90 Black - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site

What ever that means. Really I will use the k20d for the tought stuff .
I bought this because its a rugged camera. That I will slip in my pocket at the beach, theme park, work , and any thing I decide to shoot. Should be delivered thursday 29.. I will post pictures next week fo sure.

This might be a stupid reason to not buy this camera... but all I need to know is if I can zoom in and out while taking videos? This is the only reason why I have not bought previous models because that was not possible.

If someone can confirm if I can zoom in and out while shooting vids that will be the selling point for me (I probably will end up with the camera anyway.. but not so soon..)

EDIT: It turns out I saw a vid on youtube and my question has been answered. The camera can indeed zoom in and out while shooting vid! Sweet, this camera should be mine in a few weeks now

The only problem with these cameras including the W80 is the sound 'coz with every button you press, it is picked up by the microphone.
