Motion blur (KX videos editing problem)

Hello !

I love my new K-X. I've tried shooting videos using the tip to modify the shutter speed and it really works.

The problem is with Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3). When I render my video editing in HD (Quicktime, H.264) and set either the fps to 24 or "same as source" I get a video with a lot of motion blur and while it is endurable, it kind of sucks. The source videos all play very well without any blur....

Anyone care to help me out ?

Thank you !

By the way, I didn't check "deinterlace"... would that be the problem ?

The K-x shoots at 24.000fps. Premiere CS3's "24" present is actually 23.976, so it probably thinks you are changing framerate, and when CS3 does this I believe it blends adjacent frames by default. I am not sure if you can over-ride that behaviour in CS3 - try right-clicking the clips and uncheck "blend frames".

Personally, I use Cineform's NeoHD to transcode from 24 to 23.976, but that is a somewhatpricey solution.
