K-x video example

Shot this short film for a 48hr film contest a couple weeks ago. With no other options, we shot the whole thing with my K-x and the kit 18-55 lens. It's not great acting, but it does show some of the k-x's video capabilities, including action. I thought the quality was better than i expected, both sound and visual. The mono audio didn't impact the overall quality.

I did get the temperature warning, but we were filming on a hot day in the end of july for multiple hours at a time. the camera didn't die and it's still taking pictures today with no trouble yet.

enjoy. again, not a christopher nolan movie. we were working with a $zero budget.

Nice. Any idea what was the temperature on that day and how long did you spent under the hot sun?

it was mid 90's F (so around 35 C, if i remember right). the fight scene at the end was the first thing we filmed and it took between 2-3 hours. Almost everything else was broken up into smaller sections where i would turn off the camera for a couple minutes while we talked and then turned it on for 10-15 minutes while we filmed.
