Import Date from Movies incorrect?? Always 12/31/2003@7pm

Is anyone else seeing incorrect date/time stamps on movies taken with the K7?

When I import to iMovie or LightRoom3, the date stamp on all movies is 12/31/2003 7:00PM. WTF?

The file time is obviously correct.
Oddly the EXIF data seems OK as well (via exiftool. wasn't sure that would work on an AVI).

If I attempt to change the file date within LightRoom, it displays the correct time. I just noticed the side bar also shows correct timestamps for Date Time Original, and Date Time Digitized.

Sadly the Capture Date Time is somehow different. Both LightRoom3 and iMovie pick that up and use for sorting.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

erg! FYI, same thing is happening with video form the K5.

It does it to me as well, but I suspect that it's more of a Lightroom issue than a camera issue. If you run exiftool on the AVI files, you'll see the proper capture date and time is embedded in the metadata, so my guess is that LR and iMovie aren't correctly parsing the metadata.
