Since manual focus i s much easier with old manual lenses I experimented with Helios 44M 4 over the weekend.
To me the lens seems to be drawing quit nicely. Sharpness is there and good contrast. But color is kind of boring, 'bit dusty.

What is your good experience with manual lens?
Since in our country old soviet glass sells rather cheap sometimes I would like to try some other lenses as well. Probably wide angle like MIR 1 and MIR 20. So it would be nice to get some insight before I buy these.

Some of these old lenses do not feature clicks on aperture stops and so you can close the aperture without disturbing the video. Thats their main strength for this application
