Hiya,
What I think needs to be said is that Windows XP did not have the right drivers to look after the new dslr video files-- I've got an XP SP 2 or SP3 (what ever it is) its all up to date and I have Adobe Premier pro 1.5.1--And guess what I can see the files whilst looking in the folder, but when it comes to including the videos into any type of project it just errors out...
If you want to use video from your K7 or K5 you will need to upgrade your PC --To windows 7 and also update your Adobe stuff to CS6. Adobe understands that people are now using their DSLR's as video cameras and that means including drivers for these cameras into the software to make them compatible.
I think the cool thing is that you can incorporate different file formats from different cameras types into 1 nice project...Getting video from a GoPro and DSLR and sony hdr ax2000 all without problems...
PS--Yes I'm building my new computer to creat and edit video from my K7 and sony hdr ax2000.
