Hey.

Just wanted to share one of my first K-5 II videos with you guys.

Mainly used both kit lenses (18-55, 50-200).

Amazing quality. Professional

Just a couple technical questions. Did you use a ND filter? Did you have the SR on? Did you use a tripod?

How does it work without SR? For video I mean. Is it necessary even with a tripod?

My Question is ... because I hesitate with my K-7 - and your video looks quite good
but still K-5 looks better to me .... Is there a difference in video between K-5 and K-5II ?
The functions will be all the same, right ? ... But what about noise and stuff ... Anyone knows ?

The K-5 completely falls apart in that sort of situation. You can't record 25 minutes at a go anyway (maybe in 640x480?), and the sensor will most likely overheat, which gives you nice hot pixels when not filming at base ISO. If you don't care about that, yeah, go ahead. It will do fine. But it is an issue.

I like your videos Kuufi. With the K-7 video in the disco scene I thought we were supposed to look through the actors eyes, but then we see his chin and head. That was IMHO a bit problematic for me...

Gentle and relaxing until I got tired of the use of a slider in every shot. I think less is more when using such equipment.

We are always on the training wings of learning to do what we can manage so far.
So go ahead and never give up for long ... Momentary likes or dislikes are never the goal
but proceeding is a goal unto itself ... it's the journey of life ... whatever the tool may be
(wise words again - me, trying to listen to myself)
