Weathersealing works - K7 music video

Shot this on my K7 last summer with the DA*16-50, and was very glad of the weather sealing. Video isn't straight from camera; I've tweaked the contrast and saturation for effect (which may or may not be to everyone's taste).

I actually filmed a whole load of shots with the idea of cutting them together, but somehow this single take (which was a bit of an out-take really) grabbed me. And before anyone asks, yes I did forget to hit the AE-L button

I recommend getting a slider, and at least a pocket jib to give your work a little more production value. Also, grab a K5 so you can get 1080p. The K7 only does 720p.
Otherwise, cool little video - and don't forget the AE-L next time.

Here is my travel/pocket jib.

Currently undecided whether to get a K5 or jump ship and get a C***n. Getting tired of waiting for full frame for stills and would like the flexibility of Magic Lantern for video. But then I have a lot of lovely Pentax glass...

Pocket jib looks nice, but it's not cheap!

Grab a K5 for video. Don't believe the negative hype that the K5 can't do "manual" video. The only thing manual the K5 cant' do is set shutter speed and ISO for video, which is pretty moot for the most part.

The K5 is one of the last DSLR cameras that uses MJPEG, which gives nice clean video.

Don't believe me?
