Car ad I made with K-01

This is a car ad I made for my brother's junky old 1995 Ford Taurus using the Pentax K-01 with the DA 14mm and the FA 50mm 1.4. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks terrible.

The car, I mean. The filming is great. Sharp shots, makes the car looks roomy. Just bear in mind that car ads are a genre of their own and have relatively strict codes. They often sell more than the car - they sell a lifestyle. Of course, that cannot be done for a used car (almost 20 years old!). But in terms of colours, panning, DoF.. with the given subject, you did great. Proves that the K-01 in skilled hands can produce great video quality

thanks everyone! In video mode I used the toy camera filter with a red tint. Both lenses used were wide open (2.8 and 1.4) and SR was on.

nice work.
Maybe you'd want to be a bit less, euhm..., honest

You do want to sell it, don't you?... :-)

A little bit less honest? How about a soft filter, some moodier lighting (film at night!) and perhaps a distracting model draped over the bonnet (or failing that, how about a puppy?)

On second thoughts, definitely a puppy, showing how soft and cute the car is!

I could be an advertiser with my utter lack of scruples!

edit:- I might be accused of getting a little too carried away, but how about using a Bull charging down the street chasing a seniorita accompanied by dramatic flamenco music? The hero zooms up, in of course the Taurus, and flings open the door (well, depending on the actual state of the car perhaps gently pushes open!?) and they both drive off into a nice sunset. The caption of course at the end is "Taurus - No Bull"

I am available for hire.....

Love the music selection! I have no idea how I remembered it, but that's the menu music from Need For Speed IV, which is totally inappropriate for the car you're selling. I was nine years old back then... wow... I still think video games in the 1990's had the best music, ever.

Great videography, too! Thanks for sharing.

:lolz,.. $900? sounds about right - Still can't believe Ford is going to try replace our localy made Falcon with imported Taurus.
They've tried to launch the second gen Taurus here as a luxury car, failed miserably - people recognised it as a low rent, cheaply made piece of shi,....
If you guys in the US ever got to drive the Australian Falcon, you'd be screaming at your Ford dealers to get one. Rear wheel drive, 4.0 litre version is stupidly fast stock, Turbo versions range up to 550Nm ( 400 ft-lbs ) of torque.
Then theres the Mustang V8 powered versions.

Oh yeah, the ad's pretty cool, could cut a bit quicker to match the music.
