Unfortunately your assumption that what's possible with the tiny 1/2.3" CMOS Sensor inside the WG-M2 action cam will translate to the Pentax range of APS-C and perhaps even FF DSLRs soon is not realistic for many technical reasons perhaps you are not aware of but mostly I'm afraid because Pentax do not see video as an important selling point for their DSLR bodies.
Action cams on the other hand are solely for the purpose of video.

Yes, technicalities aside, its an advancement and perhaps the inclination may be to incorporate 4K into the bigger sensors.However, due to certain companies holding the 'rights' to certain aspects of 4K, maybe its not possible unless a steep royalty is paid and that counteracts the bang4$ness we are accustomed to!

Different processor that is probably not suitable for DSLRs/not ideal for them/might mean worse performance as a stills camera. Until the regular processors have it, and Ricoh actually uses them...
