Rode Reel Video

So last weekend, some mates, mate-ettes, and I, got together and shot this.

We even used my SMC KM 50mm f1.7 as the 'taking lens', behind a Lomo anamorphic, and in front of a BMD Cine Camera.
I would have used a Pentax camera, iff I could record to HDMI,...

M-rating, gets a bit sweary in places.

There's a link to a Behind Scenes video at the bottom of the video's page.

Nice!

May I ask why the extreme aspect ratio in the "film" sequences? to get black bars even though you already are in, like, 2:35:1? a "more film-ic than film" thing?

Second thing, "ten minutes on film", with digital cameras? bet it's something like an inside joke!

P.S.: voted, was worth it! but next time use a Pentax!

Great.
I loved the camera 'search' at 1:02.
Nice script. Quite original

ps; i think the black bars really add to the dynamics of story. It wouldn't resort the same effect using the same ratio throughout the video,

The aspect ratios, the comments, and the use of a Super8 camera as a prop for 'The Cinematographer' are all in-jokes aimed at the judges.
Jessica (playing 'The Cinematographer'), myself, my 1AC and the Director are now all looking for something to film in Super8. Anamorphic of course.
