I did the survey last night and was surprised they didn't include a question on how we use our cameras; that is, what do we shoot most with them? That to me would be an important question if I were trying to truly understand my customer base.

Video ? Who cares ...I don't
If I did I'd go elsewhere. Pentax, to me, are a stills cameras. I tell Ricoh that every chance I get ;-)

That's easier said than done when you've got a 40 year accumlation of Pentax gear. Why throw that all away for want of a more modernly competitive camera body? Frankly, at this point I don't think Pentax can afford to be telling any customers to go buy their competitors' products.

Steve, that's a fair point from one angle, however I do think Ricoh achieve their price advantage from not pushing video. So as a stills photographer I'd prefer they maintained a stills focus, with a limited video capability for when it's 'needed'. Seems I'm not entirely alone.
