Time Lapse Video

Anyone on here doing or has done any time lapse video?

I made one at the beach the other night (not really knowing what I was doing) while waiting for it to get dark to do some night time shots and was surprised how well it worked. I wouldn't mind trying to perfect it a bit. Not really looking to do anything too fancy or complicated.

I'll have to see if I can upload it to YouTube and link it on here...

I shot a 24 hour timelapse for a short film I worked on a while back with my K3, it wasnt compiled in the camera, instead we took thousands of raw files into final cut pro x and then exported them as a video.... worked pretty well and matched the red scarlet footage pritty nicely :-)

Yeah, this wasn't done in camera either. I took 200 shots and compiled them in TLDFLITE. I tried it in Photoshop first but got a lot of flicker. I'll probably buy the full version if I end up doing a few more of these. Exposure was 0.5 sec @ f8 with 10 second intervals and compiled at 24 fps. So just over 33 minutes into 8.3 seconds.

Here's a link to my next time lapse video on YouTube if anyone is interested. I took this last night at Brighton jetty in Adelaide, South Australia. Unfortunately there was a bit too much cloud on the horizon in front of the sun.

Next thing to do is to work out how to change the camera settings during the taking of the sequence. I don't know if this is because it won't allow you to change settings when using the built in intervalometer of just because of the mode I had the camera in.
