Here's a very nice new movie from kyo4890x115 on YouTube. I can only hope he appreciates the hits I keep sending his way But anyway, it's one of the better videos I've seen with the K-7.

YouTube - ?? (PENTAX K7 MOVIE)

Also, I haven't seen this one posted anywhere, but here's Jogiba riding a bike while filming with a fisheye:

Keep showing us videos you make with thhose exotic lenses, Jogiba!

Diego (a.k.a. Soccerjoe) just posted another great travel video, which can be seen here.

Also, the K-7 can do live music videos in completely different genres.

Like experimental rock:

YouTube - Lightning Bolt

Bluegrass:

YouTube - K7 2009 08 29 Spring Creek Bluegrass Band HD

And jazz:

YouTube - ?? " ???? " ?? ( Pentax K-7 Video )

You beat me to sharing it, Urkeldaedalus Thank you!

I blogged about the trip as well, which includes the video: Disconnected. Connected.

Here's some more (all live music)

Some better than others, the video quality isn't that great because I'm having issues uploading to youtube & vimeo at the moment but they still give an idea.

Sorry facebook doesn't seem to show the videos properly unless your logged in. I'll post back when I've got a solution.

Yeah, I figured you would post your own thread like last time, but I think this thread is good for archival purposes if they ever start a Video forum and move this thread there .

Dopeytree, I hear you on the video upload problems. I've had some trouble uploading videos as well.

Here are a couple I shot, (one was already linked)

K7 2009 08 30 Spring Creek Bluegrass Band
YouTube - K7 2009 08 29 Spring Creek Bluegrass Band HD

K7 2009 08 29 Out Fishin
YouTube - scottbrickert's Channel

I'm having trouble with alot of noise.. any thoughts on getting it under control? I added two stops of EV in both vids, maybe that's the cause.

Since K-7 users can only control aperture at the moment as far as video is concerned, one of the main ways to control noise is to use as wide of an aperture as possible, which could mean using a faster prime lens rather than a zoom.

One idea I had was to use the AE Lock to lock the video exposure on the brightest part of the scene. You' might lose some shadow detail due to improper exposure, but it might trick the camera to keeping the ISO at a more acceptable level. I haven't tried this method in practice, yet.

Also, some video editors allow you remove noise in postproduction.

About the noise issue, absolutely use the widest aperture you can. You may also try fooling around with the contrast and high-low key settings, lower sharpness doesn't hurt either. What you're doing basically is darkening the shadows out so the noise isn't as noticeable.

As for videos, I'll throw one in I did from my trip down to southwestern Mexico last month:

My first K-7 video attempt

I had a try at making a video with the K-7.

Even though it's a pretty weird video, I thought I'd share it with you guys.

I look forward to more videos from Pentax cameras on this forum, there's some pretty cool stuff in this thread already.
