I am trying to get more information about the MJPEG codec that is used in the K-X. I have had some issues when importing to my iPad on the different quality levels. Does know of site that has some detail info about the mjpeg implementation in the camera?

Have you read about it on Wikipedia?

Maybe you could open it up in QuickTime Player and save it as a .mov file for importing onto your iPad. Just a thought.

yeah i have checked out wikipedia... just looking for more info on what pentax is doing in the camera... Specifically in the quality settings. What is the difference of the star ratings? Trying to get an idea if bitrates and datarates are affected by the star quality.

Well, probably the compression level applied to the frames, I'd suspect.
