Pentax Q with 1080p30 H.264 video !

This looks interesting with 160 deg fish-eye lens and shake reduction built into the body.

With the fish-eye lens I bet it will take better HD videos than my K-7 with fish-eye lens.

If we read between the lines, I think that Pentax is finally going to start dropping MotionJPEG in favor of H.264. I hope this means their next DSLR will use H.264...

Do you know that H.264 is not as good than MJPEG?

I hope not! H.264 is useless for editing.

Correct. H.264 is not better than MPEG-4. It's a transporting codec, not and editing codec, and for best results, everything needs to be transcoded first. But it's seems like more and more softwares are starting to edit H.264 natively, since it's in such high use right now.

1080p/30 is cool, but what does Pentax have against 24p? Everyone out there wants/needs framerate options, how do they not get this?

I wonder what the jello wobble is like on this? It's good to see them making strides. They don't have the luxury of a pre-existing video department like Canon has...
