My K3 won't stay connected with USB cable.
Have tried several cables.
If I insert the SD card in a card reader it works fine>
Any ideas?

I don't know if it helps, but try to turn auto power-off off in the Setup menu, third page. It is set to 1 minute by default.

Do you mean that:

• Unable to establish a connection to the computer? -- or --
• Able to establish a connection, but unable to maintain a connection? -- or--
• The cable falls out of the fitting?

Auto power-off should not be a factor. Once connected the camera should stay on until the battery dies, the physical connection is severed, or the camera is turned off.

Have you tried a different computer? Another possibility is that the computer shut down the USB port after a period of inactivity as part of its power-saving feature.

I'd try a different computer. I've had usb ports fail with use. Or try a different USB port on the same computer.
