How to trim Ricoh WG-M1 videos

Hi I've made some super action videos with the camara displaying some super material whilst racing powerboats. I would like to edit the material to shorten the videos to only the action areas. Could someone guide me to the program which I could use to do this.

regards

Windows movie maker (free), adobe premiere elements, premiere pro, etc.

I think the former has the simplest interface overall, so if all you need to do is trim the clips, it should suffice.

I recently discovered the Free open source NLE called 'ShotCut'..
It can be used as a media player as well as an extensive editor.
It's in continuous development and bug reports are handled quickly by the lead dev via Google+
I find it very good for colour grading.. It's also easy to cut clips into a playlist which you can then assemble into the time line.
Exporting (encoding) is quick and the results are of excellent quality.
The program is available as a 64bit version only for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Download ► WebHome < Shotcut

The problem is that most of the video editing programs (especially those that handle H.264) re-encode the whole of the output rather than just re-encoding the ends of the cuts. Fine if you need to mess about with white balance, sharpening etc. but a total waste of effort, time and quality if you only want to do simple cuts. Some, such as VideoReDo, only re-encode what actually needs to be re-encoded.

Yes, I use Video ReMaker for this which can be handy for preparing lossless clips . But I always need to at least colorize my clips as I set my camera colour profile for the closest to S-log that a Pentax can come to.
