K7 video issues - considerations for a prospective buyer

Hi Everyone,
I couldn't find a thread which summarises the issues with shooting video on the K7, so could owners please follow up this post with lists of challenges that they have had when using the K7 for video? I am interested in things such as ease of use, things which you simply can't do that a normal video camera can do etc.

Please note - I do not own a K7 but the video capability is a major reason why I am considering buying one.

An example of a possible issue - I presume that when shooting video, the optical viewfinder is unusable and therefore the live view on the LCD is the only means to see what you are shooting. This in turn leads to issues with bright sunlight making the image on the LCD difficult or impossible to see.

The last time I checked there were many HD camcorders that only have the LCD to view and there are LCD viewfinders available.

BTW I have not seen any HD camcorders with ultra wide zoom lenses like I use with my K-7.

Interesting point. Thanks! The quality of the lenses for the pentax SLRs are one of the reason Im keen to try it for video.
