Minolta to Pentax Adapter

MD to PK, or less likely A to PK.

Just wondering if they exist? Or can an existing adapter be modified to take the lenses?

Cheers

This came up not long ago. The answer is: no. The registration (working distance) on Minolta lenses is shorter than for Pentax lenses. Canon's registration is even shorter than Minolta. Longer-register lenses can work optically on shorter-register mounts, but not vice-versa -- they will never focus to infinity. Canon is like a universal receptor, Pentax a universal donor.

IT IS POSSIBLE to build an optical adapter, like a short teleconverter, to mount a shorter-register lens, but image quality is degraded and it ain't cheap. Such is really only effective if the lens you want to mount is rare and costly. And I haven't seen any Minolta-Pentax adapters on eBay. Do some searching and you'll see.

Yeah, Canon is super easy to adapt a lot of glass to, except ironically Canon's own.
