as long as the last line holds it's ok. Personally I love what you are doing with the D700 and your set up. Even so much I was considering jumping the ship to Nikon and bunch of primes...but from trying D700 I know it just didn't fit in my hadn....although there is always the D3 .... time will tell

LOL!
Thanks mate, try it with the grip the grip never comes of mine and with the EN-EL4 battery it shots 8-9 FPS just like the D3.

you are not helping Simon

to be honest, I haven't tried one with the grip. I did try D3 and liked it a lot more that D700 although I still didn't think it was as comfortable as my 1D3. The problem is that I moved away form UK back home and here the opportunities of purchasing, let alone trying, such gear are very few and far between. Not to mention I have changed 3 jobs in last 6 months, and will probably be purchasing a car soon. So my camera gear budget is limited to what I have in current gear. Time will tell

Wow, you guys must have big hands! I found the old K10/K20 bodies about optimum for my underdeveloped mitts Liking the bike Simon, looks like a fun toy - don't forget to shoot it when dirty too!

More from me, first two with Sigma 70-200, last one with 16-35.

I really like the last one!

as for my hands, yes, on the rather larger size. K-7 and K-x were just too small, K10D + grip was a good fit, EOS 7D without grip was so so... the 1D Mark III is the best fit so far

So, I have had my D600 and lenses for a few months now. I have to say, I'm absolutely blown away by it! Here are a selection of recent shots...

For those interested, my lenses are 18-35g, 50 1.8g, 85 1.8g and 135 DC.

Some wonderful shots there David. I'd love to have seen a multi-shot combo of someone walking through that right angled corridor with the arches.

First one looks a touch oversharpened to me but the rest, particularly the second, are spot on.

Cheers DCG. I am giving ViewNX a run out for sharpening jpgs as I am never happy with the output from LR5/Mogrify - it's pretty damn good (but maybe I got carried away a little) !

David - love that Cloisters shot !
