Vivitar SLR

Howdy all,
Picked up a black Vivitar XV-2 35mm SLR pretty cheap.
Something to toy around with.
Does anyone know anything about them ?

Are they considered to be junk or a good camera ?

I've never owned anything with the brand Vivitar so any thoughts are welcome.

Also came with a Soligor MC C/D 28-70mm Zoom+Macro lens , maybe if anyone knows anything about it too and would like to comment.

I don't think they are junk, just an average 35 for the day. Serviceable camera, I still see Vivitars out in public.
