Double posting on A7/r threads

Trying out the FE 28-70 kit zoom on aps-c sensor with A6000. The kit seems to perform quite well on aps-c. I seldom use the kit zoom lens on A7 and on skiing trip, I prefer to bring the smaller and lighter camera

The Kit zoom in FE is worth getting if anyone on aps-c with planning on FE cameras. It is not worth buying the lens alone for a high price. I get mind for $379 or something in that range. Any price higher is less a consideration for me but the lens is a bit bigger than the 18-55 and much bigger than the 16-50. I like it over both kit zooms for aps-c. The size can be an issue to consider. It is lightweight and have a reasonable good build and similar to 50mm f/1.8 form factor, a bit taller and bulkier but not by much.

Cheers,
Hin

The lens works out quite well and the only thing that I can complain about this lens is the absence of the original lens hood, my metal lens hood is working alright but I think it is not as effective with flare control as the original lens hood, I will try out a plastic wide hood.

Cheers,
Hin
I have two copies of this lens and listed one on talkemount forum.

Cheers,
Hin

Some b&w in post processing, all shots were taken with the Sigma super-wide 24mm f/2.8 in C/Y mount. Most were shot in f/5.6, the close up likely in f/2.8

Cheers,
Hin

Necromancy be damned! I'm still using the hell out of my NEX6, although I'm really tempted to get an A7 or A7II now that they're fairly cheap. I use it *only* with Pentax K/M lenses, and it's just perfect for manual focusing.

Your stitch is excellent! Here's a stitch I did recently.

Great shot, Emacs. The necromancy is reviving this ancient thread though. I miss it.
