Quick question (that I may have asked before): has anyone here tried adapting any Pentax lenses to the X-trans bodies? I'm particularly interested in seeing the output of the FA 77 (and other ltds) on the X-trans.

Thanks!

Yonatan
I dont have the FA, but i had a Super tak 55mm F1.8 on X-E1:

I started an X-mount club as I didn't see one, but despite the thread name all the Fuji action seems to be here. Can the thread title maybe be changed??

Yesterday I bought a lightly used X-M1 and so far I'm very pleased with it. I have adapters for M42 and MD and at some point will also add a PK, but for now I've just used it with a Minolta MC Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 lens.

Here's a short set of B&W shots I took yesterday afternoon with the new camera. All at f/2.8, I think. I'm impressed with the lens, which I've never used on digital until now.

Today I decided on colour. Same combination as above: X-M1 & Minolta 50/1.7. These first ones at f/2.8, except maybe the very first.

And this one was wide open. Not too shabby but I think the bokeh's better at f/2.8.

Nice shots. I used my wife's Minolta 50mm today for film. Where is the Fuji love at present?

Got out my tripod last night and promptly broke my old cable release< so limited to 30 seconds or how long I could hold the button.

That just might be how my situation will turn out when/if I decide to sell my "almost-never-used" X-E2.
I actually use my "X" 100 daily and packed away the X100s not in a rush to get the X100T just yet but i know i will, just working on building the lense collection up now.

I use it (x-100) to get quick shots ...like this at The Para Pan Am Games Toronto. This gentleman is from my home country and came to compete, Dennis La Rose who also manages and coaches at a local Table Tennis club.

Sorry for interrupting but I would like to hear an opinion on I would say K30 vs EX2. AF and so on. I like the idea of small and fast lenses(the 35/1,4 particularly) and focus peaking in vf for adapted glass. Thanks!

x100

As an ameteur "photographer", x100 is almost perfect for me. I wish to have a bit zoom sometimes. Or better close-up. Maybe I should have an additional x10 for zoom and macro? (I didn't like how x30 feels in hand)

Here some shots from x100:

Been a way for the forum for a while, here is some of the photos I have taken since being away from the forum.

Fuji X-Pro and 35mm

X30 at Dublin Zoo

X30 in and around Mourne Co Down Northern Ireland

X30 View from the In-Laws kitchen window in Castlewellan, Co Down, Northen Ireland.

X30 some more steam.

X30 a road near me, Angarrack, Cornwall

X30 And Angarrack Viaduct.

Not much really but I've enjoyed using my Fuji's mainly the X30... SLR free since 2013....not missing it yet...
I Just hope the focus is fast enough to keep up with our new pal Dougal....

Cheers, Steve

I finally scratched my fuji x-itch by renting an X-T1 and the xf 16 f/1.4 and xf 23 f/1.4 for a trip to San Francisco...

A few examples

Self-portrait at the exploratorium (16 f/1.4)

Near Union square (23 f/1.4)

Obligatory cat picture (16 f/1.4)

I figured that I might as well test some of the better lenses while I was at it... Also focal lengths that I don't usually use (I tend to prefer short tele).

It was fun.

A couple more...

23mm

16mm

I'm not as enamored of the camera/lenses as I thought I might be. They are great and fund to use, but... (a) the camera is a little smaller than I was expecting. If I was buying one, I would definitely add a grip. (b) as reported in many reviews, the buttons are a little small and a bit mushy at times. (c) the aperture rings on the lenses are definitely too loose.

On the other hand, having all the exposure controls (besides aperture) as well as drive mode and metering on dials on the top plate is GREAT. The only buttons I used were the AFL (for back button focusing) and the directional ones for choosing focus point. And the lenses, aside from the loose aperture rings, are optical marvels. I'm not really a wide angle guy, but combine that wide angle with sharp-from-wide-open f/1.4 opens up a lot of possibilities, indoors and out.
