I love that bird. I've seen flocks a few rare times but never had a reasonable opportunity to get a photograph. They have have such sleek, understated beauty

Back in August there were dozens of these guys coming out in the evening and flying about in a local marsh area. Several of them flew with a couple of feet from my head. And yes, they are a beautiful bird.

I've seen them primarily in a conservation area of the adjacent town, in late Autumn, feeding en-masse on berries hanging from a tree. Sometimes a group comes into our yard and works on the berries of the flowering cherry. They come and go, and I've never been able to get out for photographs.

Andean musician playing in the crafts hall at town fair this year. He was very good, pleasant to hear. The white things at lower right, inevitably, are his CD's for purchase.

Fall is coming to Wisconsin. The color changes are really spotty at the moment around Milwaukee. Mostly green/yellow with islands of orange and red here and there.
