GX85 + 35-100 F2.8 II

+ tilt screen really helped with getting a low angle
+ my camera was smaller and lighter than anyone else there lol
- AF was hit or miss with the fast action
- wish I had bigger/higher resolution screen to confirm focus in the field

Thanks. This is a criterium - the pro men's race was 50 one-mile laps around downtown.

Some more shots. This is the winner Noah Granigan mid-race:

Some racers have iconic form. This guy looked the part

I'd hate to compete against this guy in a sprint

The sound of a bicycle crash has changed over the years. It's less metallicky now, more low-frequency sounds of carbon fiber thumping and fracturing. This happened behind me but I knew almost instantly by the sound (and before turning to look) that it was a crash

It happened with a handful of laps to go, when the pack is nervous and jostling for position.

This guy took the worst of it. Got carried away on a stretcher. Hope he's ok. Credit to the racer he tangled up with; he helped manage the scene as the race looped around and streamed by.

The Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University in the UK. It's actually a spectacular modern building which was designed by the architects Herzog & de Meuron and opened in May 2016. I hadn't been inside it before. Oly E-M5 Mark II and Oly 12-40mm f2.8. This lens is good at 12mm, I think.

GX85 + Panny 20/1.7. I hadn't really planned on taking photos but I was sitting right by one of the microphones so I started snapping. I didn't have the best position since I was low and close, but here's what I got:

Haven't seen many Grosbeaks around the yard this Spring so this one was a treat.

Also added a E-M10 II to the E-M10. The E-M10 will remain on the back end of the 560mm while the Mark II will be my walk around piece (better SR which I don't need on the tripod mounted 560mm).

A change of pace. I do wish I had the DFD and 4k modes on the GM1.
