I tend to find with Leica lenses the images are so good out of the camera i often don't need to do PP.
Exactly my thought. It's not the case for landscapes, where the DR equalization always needed, but definitely is for portait and street shots. Last time I didn't even put any PP but converted directly to jpeg, since all my corrections only did image worse rather than improved it.
BTW, nice shots in last two posts, Christine.

Thanks.

The NEX-5N is an amazing portrait camera with Leica lenses.

This one was no PP even though the conditions were somewhat challenging (couple was in the shade, and sunlight was streaming in behind them) - Auto WB:

And focus peaking makes it easy to track moving subjects, even when they move towards and away from camera - these are all captured on the Summicron 50mm at f2, also no PP:

I agree, and find the same with my Zeiss lenses. Doing the usual bump of clarity/vibrance (that I do with most other lenses) results in very unnatural looking shots, as the Zeiss glass has so much "pop" already.

Taken at Sydney Aquarium (one of my friends initially did not believe this was a real photo - he thought I took a photo of a poster):

Incidentally, as I was taking this photo, I heard a familiar multi-exposure shutter burst on my right, turned around, and there was a girl next to me taking a photo on her NEX-5N! Lately I have been seeing quite a few people carrying this camera - word must be getting around, also Sony is promoting it quite heavily on billboard ads etc.

More ibis (or is that ibii?) - these birds are almost considered pests, almost as bad as pigeons ...

I like what you are getting out of your camera and lenses. Nice! You're obviously having fun also.

Some images on the Zeiss 25mm - I'm taking advantage of the amazing sharpness of this lens for some architecture shots

LOL what old junk. Did you pick them up from Cash Converters or something.
That "Old junk" looks like it's capable of some pretty amazing photos to me!

Christine, you are a true artist. Well done on all your images. I can only hope that if I had access to your stellar lenses, my images could be half as good.

Wow, thanks! Coming from you, that is high praise indeed! I am not sure I deserve the praise.

By the way, here's a picture of the Queen Mary 2 docked in Sydney Harbour, with a flock of birds flying in front of it. Taken on the Summaron 35mm f2.8.
