I would be shocked if the photog turns out not to be scammer. We'll see.

I don't see why he needed "Compensation". Returning his money and giving him a $100 credit seems fine. Of course they should honor their commitments on call backs and the situation was handled poorly on many levels.

Well maybe he was counting on getting that camera and made a loss by getting a pile of planks instead, so compensation in a case like that would make sense.
Of course, this is a pretty bizarre story. Hope they get to the bottom of it. If this happened to me, I would be really floored.

This seems to be the only case reported on the net... funny nobody else got a shipment of wood. Also, I will 'document' my package only if it is especially beat up and dented, not every time I open it. That's a bit strange, to take a picture of yourself running a blade across the tape.

By the way, I just got an excellent price on a Mk III on a 6 hour ebay listing. Guy said it was as-new, 0 clicks, but no box.

I don't necessarily even trust his version of the "poor handling". Stuff happens.

The only one getting screwed here is Dell, that's for sure.

That sounds pretty fishy. Something like that happening twice to the same guy. Hmmm....

Either Dell is out a large chunk of money, as presumably the warehouse stock has been compromized or somebody is pulling a buy none, get two free.

Hah.

Pictures of the shipment to "document" it. Received wood flooring TWICE, and so far we have not heard of anyone else receiving the same. Smells like a scam.
