New firmware released in Japan. Users have reported no problem with non-Japanese cameras.
But if you are concerned, you may wait until it is officially available in your area.

For Australian customers, the firmware updates are all up on the Sony Australia web site.

I think they are now up on all countries websites too. Looked today and found it at Sony USA as well as several European sites. Downloading today for my 5N and 16-50 powerzoom.

Finished updating three bodies (F3, 5N, 6) and two lenses - now Hybrid AF works on all my Sony E mount lens except one (the 16mm prime). Just in time for my trip to Tasmania next week.
