Here are some of the key features that are better than the OMD E-M5:
- 1/8000 shutter speed
- ISO 100 (expanded)
Anyone who's ever tried to get shallow depth of field in daylight with an E-M5 would know that ISO 200, 1/4000 is a major limitation if you don't want to constantly be messing with ND filters.
- Higher resolution LCD
- VF-4 is a lot better than the E-M5's VF (though sold separately)
- Focus peaking
- Built in flash
- 1/320 flash sync speed
- Supposedly improved IBIS
- Wi-fi
Everything else is pretty much the same as the E-M5. So yes, spec-wise an E-P5 with VF-4 attached is the same or better than an E-M5 in every way, except weather sealing, inability to use the VF and hotshoe at the same time, and no grip options. Assuming the E-M5's successor, rumored to be coming this fall, has the electronics specs of the E-P5 and built in VF-4, that would probably be the ultimate mirrorless camera so far, besides video (doubtful Oly will be able to surpass the GH3 in video).
