My wife and I spent some time in Italy the first part in Tuscany, and we took in La Boheme and Tosca at the annual Puccini festival while we were there.

Spent the afternoon in the Langdale Valley in the Lake District. Some fine cloud came over the type that the sun can get through the worst kind for photography as everything gets blown out, so I had a couple of pints of good ale in the Britannia Inn in Eltewater village sat outside until the cloud cleared away...then returned after a wander and had dinner before heading to Elterwater itself (the 'lake' - though strictly it's a 'water' - The English Lake District has only One lake - bassenthwaite. The remainder are tarns, meres, or waters)

All with Sony A7RII

FE 24 - 70 f/2.8 GM

Some weeks using the A7 and I can confirm that manual focus lenses works well enough with this device. I am not using peaking at all. I find it less precise than magnification, which I feel very much comfortable with. That said, I would like to share some (already known) observations:

1. I see there's a lag in the shutter. Nothing extreme, but there it is.
2. I find also some problems with light reflection on the corners. I knew this could happen with the models prior to the A7II/A7rII, but it is not that frequent anyway.
3. Handling is fine, but except for the lovely Pentax M 40mm, the adapter and the Pentax lenses combo makes everything a bit awkward too. I can live with it, but now I begin to lust for some vöigtlander M-mount glass.

Now, some stuff

Sony A7 Pentax SMC K 35mm f3.5

Sony A7 Pentax SMC K 28mm f3.5

By the way, I am finding some pictures in this thread taken with the Batis 18mmm which are... wow!

Nice shots, and changes in light. I enjoyed my time living there (near Talgarth), and found it easy to get inspired by the landscape.

A fun shot at a party with the Zeiss 55/1.8. The cool part is that it is at ISO 5000, and this sensor (also in my K1) doesn't break a sweat. A less funny shot at 8000 shows exactly the same quality.
