First of all - some caveats ...
These are Adobe lens profiles created by me, for my specific lenses on my camera. I don't guarantee that they will work well on your camera or your lenses - they seem to work okay for me.
Secondly, these lens profiles do not include lens design data (well, I don't have access to the data so there) so they won't be as good as the manufacturer created lens profiles that comes with Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw. For some of you, that means you may get better results using the Lightroom supplied ones, even though they are created for a different body.
Thirdly, a warning - using these lens profiles CORRECTLY requires you to MANUALLY edit EXIF data - the way adobe lens profile corrections work is that they build an internal model of the lens vignette, chroma and perspective distortions, which are dependent on focal length, focus distance and aperture - and Adobe uses the EXIF data to apply the correction to each image.
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EDIT EXIF DATA ON YOUR IMAGES, DON'T BOTHER USING THESE LENS PROFILES. And if you manually apply them anyway, don't be surprised if the correction may not be optimal.
What I do is I use a Mac OSX program called EXIF Editor (purchased from the App Store) to edit the EXIF data on my images. I create a EXIF profile for each lens with the necessary EXIF tags, then I apply the profile prior to import and manually enter the aperture value for the shot.
Here is a list of EXIF data that I apply:
- F Number
- Aperture Value
- Focal Length
- Focal Length in 35mm Format
- Lens Make
- Lens
- Lens Model
- Lens Type (Pentax specific)
Lastly - the vignette model sometimes over-corrects on some lenses. This is because vignetting actually depends on focus distance. As I don't enter focus distance in the EXIF data (I can't remember what focus distance I have used for each, and it's going to be approximate anyway), the vignette correction will only be accurate if I capture a shot at the same focus distance as the calibration images used to build the lens profile. Generally I build the lens profile focusing at around 1-2m. In Lightroom, the amount of vignetting correction can be adjusted after the profile has been applied, so I generally manually adjust if there is over-correction.
