Canon 5d mkII not powering up

I'm posting here for a co-worker who shoots a Canon 5d mkII that quit working last weekend. She was outside taking some photos, powering off the camera occasionally during breaks. At some point it quit powering up. She's changed batteries to no avail. She says the only sign of power is a red light on the camera that flashes on briefly during powerup. It flashes, but that's it - no power to the camera body or LCD. Anyone familiar with this camera have a suggestion or tip? Any recommendations for a Canon repair shop in the Dallas-Ft Worth area? Thanks!

My only suggestion is to make sure the card door is fully closed....
