24mm lens comparison, Sony a7R

Five 24mm prime lenses, on my Sony a7R, using cheap adapters.

Six wide landscape shots total(two FDn pics), edited down to two full camera width pics.

Since this forum can't handle big pics, I'm posting a direct link to both pics **be sure and view them at 100% size**:
Direct JPEG picture link, 24mm lens comparison on Sony a7R: smc Pentax 24mm f:2.8, Canon FDn 24mm f:2.8, Sigma 24mm f:2.8 Superwide II
Direct JPEG picture link, 24mm lens comparison Sony a7R: Canon FDn 24mm f:2.8, Olympus 24mm f:2.8, Kiron 24mm f:2.0

Which lens do you think is the best?

Canon FDn 24mm f:2.8
Sigma 24mm f:2.8
smc Pentax 24mm f:2.8
Kiron 24mm f:2.0
Olympus 24mm 2.8

Both of my blog posts on this, if anyone wants more details:
24mm lens comparison on Sony a7R: smc Pentax 24mm f:2.8, Canon FDn 24mm f:2.8, Sigma 24mm f:2.8 Superwide II
24mm lens comparison Sony a7R: Canon FDn 24mm f:2.8, Olympus 24mm f:2.8, Kiron 24mm f:2.0
24mm lens sample variation: Three Sigma 24mm lens and three Canon FDn 24mm lenses compared

thanks for posting this. I just got an a7R and was looking for a good 24mm lens to use with it.

If you want a fast 24mm the 24mm f1.4 Rokinon (Samyang) is a good choice.

To my eye, the Canon FD easily stands out in the first link. In the second, I'll say it's a toss up between the Canon and Olympus.

I'm going with the Canon FD as well... in both.

Thanks for the hard work on the comparisons.
I either have to stick to my FD20 or buy a FD24/2.8...

I'm surprised that the K24/2.8 is that bad on the A7r.
Maybe its microlens array is not agreeable with the K24 or there is appreciable delta in the adapter?
Its also possible that on 36mp FF, the pixel density is punishing on weak lens edges.

From my use on the A7, I would say that the sharpness drop off point is about the same as what you found, but its not so bad as to be so blur.

The original size is in the link.

Nonetheless, thanks for the very good info.

thanks everyone for the feedback.

love that skyline shot pinhole, the sides of the k24/2.8 look better in that pic than they ever would have on the a7r.

imho, processing helps a lot, of course, but the a7 still has a solid advantage there... some people have returned the a7r in favor the a7, just to get better sides... always a tradeoff.

i'm looking at 28mm lenses also, they are a bit easier on the sides than the 24mm's.

I know what you mean regarding the trade offs between A7 and A7r.
It was one of the reasons I went for a7 instead for my needs.
Wide lenses like the voigtlander 12mm have minimal issues on A7 too, making it a joy to use (small, 12mm, good IQ)

Between 28 and 24mm, where I am, which is generally urban cityscape opportunities only, 28mm is often not wide enough.
I have found 24mm to be good and also small plus fast, reasonable distortion todo othertypes of shots as well.
20mm seens even better for landscape stuff as its wide enough for almost anything while not pushing the background too far back.
